John Woodruff is quite old despite his young looks. If you get close to him you will see his wrinkles, gray hairs, and flaws. He enjoys being with people in the struggles and difficulties of life because Christ has done this with him. John grew up in a Christ-following family, which was highly involved in their local church and discipling others. He came to faith in Christ at a young age and has continued to seek the Lord with wrestling, honesty, and truth.
John grew up in the Dallas area and attended Texas A&M University where he was highly involved in the ministry of CRU and the local church. After graduating with an outdoor education degree, John studied under Dr. Dan Allender at Western Seminary, Seattle and received a Masters in Counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist. He works full-time at McKinney Christian Academy and has a private practice, John Woodruff Counseling, in downtown McKinney.
John is married to his Facebook crush, Ashley, and they have 3 daughters, Hannah (7yrs), Abigail (5yrs), and Maelie (20mths). He loves all things outdoors - backpacking, lawn care, soccer, running, cycling - as well as good coffee and his sous vide.
