Pastoral Intern

Jacob is the Pastoral Intern at CRC. He is pursuing an MDiv at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jacob was blessed to be raised, along with his seven siblings, in a godly family. Jacob was saved at an early age through the faithful witness of his parents. For as long as he can remember, kids, family, and church ministry have been interwoven mainstays in his life.

During high school, the Lord used a major loss to convict him of apathetic faith, set his life in perspective, and put him to kingdom work. Next-gen ministry became a weekly rhythm in his life.

In college, he served with the local Baptist Student Ministry. He also worked as a part-time youth pastor, a family intern, and a music leader, all the while becoming increasingly drawn to a church plant in McKinney. In the fall of 2014, he graduated from UT Dallas with his BS in Management Information Systems and joined the staff of Christ Redeemer Church as our Student Ministry Director. He transitioned to his current role as our Pastoral Intern in 2019.

Jacob has been married to his college sweetheart, Hayley, since 2015. They have one stud of a son named Jude and a beautiful daughter named Renee.

Aside from ministry in the life of the church, Jacob loves a good book, a good song, a good conversation over a good cup of single-origin coffee, and a good game of frisbee.
