Bill and Kelley moved into the Ramu Valley in 2004 and began working among a remote and unreached people group called the Inapang. By God’s grace and for His glory, their tribal team completed cultural and language acquisition to a proficient level before developing the Inapang orthography, writing literacy curriculum and then beginning translation and Bible curriculum projects. All aspects of the work were focused toward the four month presentation of the Creation to Christ teaching in the Inapang language. In 2007, the gospel was heard and the church was born. Over the next 8 years, eight more churches were planted around the valley.
Now, the Housleys are working to finish the New Testament translation and continue to provide discipleship and mentoring for the local churches and their leadership as they have begun to reach out into their surrounding communities with the gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ! They are currently in process of building a school in Madang called the Ramu Valley Academy. RVA exists as an answer to the need of these local churches for safe and quality education for the next generation.
The Housleys have two daughters, Madison and Sabra, who are both married to excellent young men and all four are living in Louisville, KY. They have been blessed with one granddaughter, Ansley Marie.
