Lay Elder

Andy Lai was born and raised in Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis. He grew up in a
Christian home and regularly attended church. Andy came to know the Lord as a
young adult. Shortly after graduating from Indiana University with a business degree,
he moved to Chicago and began his career in finance. While in Chicago, he earned an
MBA from DePaul University and became a member of the Moody Church where he
served as a deacon and met his wife, Sarah. Andy is also a charted financial analyst
(CFA).
Andy and Sarah moved to Texas in 2010. They were active members in a local church
body for several years where Andy led a men’s Bible study and facilitated discipleship
classes for new believers with Sarah. In 2019, God called them to Christ Redemer
Church.
Andy and Sarah have two children, Blake (13) and Madeleine (11). Blake loves the
outdoors, football, and karate. Madeleine loves to read and play the piano.
They love spending time together as a family and have found several activities to enjoy
together, including hiking, traveling, and playing sports and games. Andy loves
spending time in the Word with coffee and his Yeti. Sarah’s heart is in their home where
they homeschool their children. They are incredibly thankful for the Lord leading them
to Christ Redeemer Church where they love living in community with committed Christ
followers.
